Whole30 Day 25 (Friday)
Breakfast: Half a sweet potato, one egg + 3 egg whites, half a cucumber, two slices of avocado
Lunch (pictured): a giant salad with veggies, walnuts, green grapes, avocado; salmon and spinach, and spaghetti squash; I also snacked on about 7 small pitted dates and walnuts. Nuts are my new sugar…can’t stop eating them. This is why I need to cut them out on my next Whole30…unhealthy relationship with them! Oh, nuts! ;) I also had a cup of my grandmother’s chicken broth, which is literally just water, chicken (cooked in the water and taken out), celery, carrots, and onion (taken out after cooking). So healthy and delicious!
Dinner: Spaghetti squash, tomato sauce, meatballs (just organic beef, garlic powder, and Italian seasoning), a cup of chicken broth before dinner. Yum.
Today: We decided, when Eric came home from work, that we both wanted spaghetti (or spaghetti squash) and meatballs for dinner. Since we get our groceries delivered tomorrow, we decided to venture out to the market…something we never do anymore! It was such a nice trip, since we don’t have to go every week now! Anyway, we took our time in the tomato sauce aisle and found the Food Emporium Trading Company: all natural ingredients, and actually, the garden vegetable one has carrots, zucchini, and tomato (obvs). While we were in the aisle, a nice older man came over and said he was looking for sauce without sugar; we got into a discussion about how sauce doesn’t need added sugar; he said his dad was a chef and never added sugar to sauce! As he was walking away he looked back and said, “I can tell you eat healthy, you have organic beef…good for you!” It was so nice and made me proud. Later on, we ran into him again and he told me about this healthy tuna to buy. Funny.
