Whole30 Day 14! Wow!

Breakfast (pictured): I woke up this morning slightly nauseous from my antibiotics (I swear, if there’s nothing less than a full amount in my stomach that medicine is horrible—but, my skin IS clearing up!). I didn’t want anything hot, or too mushy…and I guess I’ve been running through veggies like nuts, so I made a quick run to the market and got some new vegetables. Phew. So, this late meal (I was starving!) consisted of a cucumber, half a tomato, avocado, red onion, two eggs (with yolk) + one egg white.

Lunch: Tomato sauce from last night (obsessed with Mamma Lombardi’s sauce), two chicken cutlets made in EVOO, all thrown on top of a salad. Blackberries and black coffee.

Dinner (pictured): Okay, so here’s how dinner went. I first ate a large salad with lettuce, cucumber, tomato, EVOO, lemon juice, and garlic powder and black pepper. By the time I ate my meal I was full. I think my stomach is shrinking. So, on the plate pictured I only ate 1.5 pieces of the chicken, the 1/2 sweet potato, and none of the broccoli. I just couldn’t stomach it! Also, my chicken was so overdone. Whoops. That’s what you get for being on the phone and cooking. Oh well.

Overall: Energy is good! My skin is looking slowly better and better. I actually felt really full all day today…I think since I bought the Celtic Sea Salt, I’ve been using it too much. I had to put it away. I just don’t need added salt right now. It’s not good for my blood pressure anyway. I think my head is not in a grounded place right now since I’m in between summer and school, so hopefully I’ll feel a little stronger (energy wise?) when school actually starts. I’m feeling good, and I’m 2 weeks in…but I’m not feeling any different than I used to when I would eat “healthy” or anything. We’ll see. I’m not giving up, and I’m certainly not giving up the paleo lifestyle. I really enjoy this way of eating, and I do tend to believe my body can’t handle grains, so it’s interesting to think about that. I don’t think my body can handle any inflammatory foods at all.

Workout: 16 minutes, 1.2 miles (ran 1 mile) on treadmill. Easier than it was last week, but not fun! Ha.
